Speaker: Ruth Hoyt

Program: Join Ruth Hoyt as she presents her program and demonstrates techniques for setting up an outdoor photo studio specifically for bird photography.

She will share some of the tips and techniques she uses when consulting with ranch owners who want to build photo blinds for photography — what we want (photographs) and what the subjects need (food, water, shelter, and a place to rear their young).

Don’t worry; you don’t have to own a ranch for your outdoor photo studio. Ruth adapts her program to include back yards and other, smaller settings.

A slide show will demonstrate how Ruth attracts a variety of species to a photo area and prepares photographers for some specialty birds and surprise visitors, as well as details she includes in photo areas, such as water sources, foods to offer, and a key ingredient — having fun!
