Amazonia

Program: When people think of the Amazon River, they usually think of a long slow river in Brazil flowing into the Atlantic. While the Amazon does indeed flow through Brazil, its origins are in the Andes of Peru. One of the most photogenic parts of this amazing river complex is the area in Peru at the eastern base of the Andes.

Our November program will feature photographing the Upper Amazon and its tributaries in Peru. The Amazon Rainforest that surrounds the many tributaries at the beginning of the Amazon holds a wide variety of flora and fauna, much of it unique to the area, as well as interesting and friendly indigenous people in the many villages along the rivers. Come and enjoy a trip to Amazonia - lots of pictures, information on the subjects, tips on travel and many fun anecdotes.
